Explore Basel by train

An ideal base from which to explore the three countries. TGV Lyria and ICE trains to Basel depart daily from Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt,... and will take you straight to the city centre.
14-23 November: ICE trains calling at Köln Ehrenfeld instead of Köln Hbf

Due to engineering works near Cologne, the ICE trains connecting Brussels with Frankfurt will be diverted around Cologne from Friday 14 November to Sunday 23 November 2025.

As a consequence, they will not be serving Köln Hbf (central station) as usual, but will be calling at Köln-Ehrenfeld suburban station (North-West of the city centre) instead.

Please check the adapted schedules in our journey planner if you travel to/from Cologne or if you have to change trains in Cologne.
