Train+ (SNCB)

With Train+ you enjoy discounts during off-peak times, weekends and public holidays and capped fares on the Belgian part of cross-border journeys with conventional trains (not on high speed trains).

Preferential Reimbursement (SNCB)

If you're a beneficiary of Preferential Reimbursement, you get 40% discount on the Belgian part of cross-border journeys with conventional trains.

100% discount Belgium (SNCB)

Holders of a valid travel pass, Unlimited Season Ticket or token for free transport on the Belgian rail network (visual impaired travellers, parliament members, police in uniform etc.) do not pay for the Belgian part of international journeys with conventional trains.

40% discount Netherlands (NS)

Depending on the conditions of their season ticket (route, time of travel etc.), holders of some types of NS season tickets 40% discount on the Dutch part of an international journey with conventional trains.

Travel update

8-9 November: route restrictions for EuroCity and Eurocity Direct due to works in the Netherlands

Due to engineering works on the Dutch rail network, the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) will be subject to the following route restrictions on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November 2025:

EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam)

will only operate between Brussels and Roosendaal (instead of Rotterdam) and will not serve Noorderkempen and Breda.
substitution buses will shuttle between Noorderkempen and Breda.
from Roosendaal, passengers can use other NS operated trains to their final destination.
will not serve Brussels Airport Zaventem either due to other works on the Belgian network.

Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam)

will be diverted via Roosendaal as well.
will only operate between Brussels and Breda (instead of Amsterdam Zuid) with an adapted schedule.
from Breda, passengers can use other NS trains to Rotterdam, Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Zuid (longer journey times).

11 November: EuroCity and Eurocity Direct will not service Antwerpen-Centraal

Due to planned infrastructure works, the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) will be diverted around Antwerp and will not service Anwerpen-Centraal on Tuesday 11 November.

The Eurocity Direct will exceptionally call at Noorderkempen (only intermediate stop between Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid and Rotterdam Central).
The EuroCity trains will call at Antwerpen-Berchem, where you have local connections to/from Antwerpen-Centraal.

Please consult the adapted timetables before departure.

15 - 16 November: EuroCity and Eurocity Direct diverted via Roosendaal

Due to engineering works on the Dutch rail network, the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) trains will be diverted via Roosendaal on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2025, resulting in longer journey times.

EuroCity trains will only operate between Brussels and Breda (instead of Rotterdam) and will not serve the station of Noorderkempen. Substitution buses will shuttle between Breda and Noorderkempen.

29-30 November: route restrictions for EuroCity and Eurocity Direct due to works in the Netherlands

Due to planned engineering works on the dutch rail network, the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) trains will be diverted via Roosendaal on Saturday 29 November and Sunday 30 November.

Consequently, their route will be restricted as follow:

EuroCity trains will only operate between Brussels and Breda (instead of Rotterdam).
Eurocity Direct trains will operate between Brussels and Rotterdam Central (instead of Amsterdam Zuid).

From Breda or Rotterdam, you can use onward trains operated by NS (Dutch railways) to your final destination in the Netherlands.
