Northern Italy is a region not to be missed! With TGV INOUI France-Italy, Milan, Turin and the ski resorts of the Valle d'Aosta (Italian Alps) are just a few hours’ train journey from France.
Want to travel even further? Trenitalia’s Frecce trains will take you to numerous other Italian cities from Turin and Milan. Book tickets at low fares via SNCB International.
Due to a strike in Belgium, the rail service on the Belgian rail network will be limited from Monday 14 April (10 pm) to Tuesday 15 April 2025 included.
An alternative train service will be drawn up based on available train staff. Take this alternative train service into account if you need to take a domestic connection in Belgium before or after your international train journey, or if you need to take our regional trains shortly across the border (Roosendaal, Maastricht, Aachen, Luxembourg, Lille or Maubeuge). More details on this alternative train service will be available 48h in advance on www.belgiantrain.be.
For the time being, we still don't know the possible impact of this strike on international trains (EuroCity, Eurocity Direct, TGV INOUI, Eurostar, OUIGO, ICE etc.). We advise to check this page regularly for further updates.
From Monday 31 March 2025, high-speed trains will directly connect France and Italy again:
These routes had been interrupted in August 2023 after a landslide in the French Alps between St-Jean de Maurienne and Modane. After major repair works, they will be back in service in spring 2025.
