Due to planned engineering works at the Belgian-Dutch border, the Intercity Netherlands (Brussels-Amsterdam) trains will be diverted via Roosendaal on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June 2023, resulting in longer journey times.
Another consequence is that the stations Noorderkempen en Breda will not be served. Passengers to/from Breda can change trains in Roosendaal and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains. For passengers to/from Noorderkempen, there will be replacement buses connecting Noorderkempen with Antwerp-Central.
Please check the adapted schedules for your journey.
Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch railway network, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Rotterdam Central from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 June 2023 included.
Passengers to Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda or Rotterdam and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.
Adapted timetables will be available in the international rail planners later on. Please check the schedules for your journey a few days before travel.

There are 3 options for travelling to Amsterdam. Whichever choice you make, Thalys, Eurostar and InterCity will get you right to the heart of Amsterdam from Brussels-Midi, the main station in the Brussels area.
14 daily Thalys trains and 2 daily Eurostar trains provide a direct service in just 1 hour 50 minutes.
The 12 daily trains operated by InterCity get you to Amsterdam in a little under 3 hours, and offer you more flexibility: you can board the train of your choice and get on and off wherever you want along the line (13 stops), without requiring a seat reservation.
Upon your arrival at Amsterdam Central station (located in the very centre of the city), the wide array of different public transport lines on offer (underground, tram, bus or even train) means you can start your visit to the city with ease, or continue your journey on to other towns and cities. If you are feeling particularly active, you can take advantage of the central location of the station to get your trip to Amsterdam off to a good start using the most popular method of transport, the bike!
